Eternal Eve 2013 international visual art exhibition took place at La Galleria Pall Mall in central London on 11 – 16 March 2013. It closely followed International Women’s Day and the United Kingdom Mother’s Day and celebrated spring and femininity. Paintings, sculpture, digital art and photography were put together by curator Zina Bercovici to pay tribute to the role of a woman in the contemporary society.
Female form was open to artistic interpretations. It was displayed in a variety of shapes, techniques and styles.
Exhibition combined figurative works and abstract ones as it showed women sad and happy, dancing and mourning, modern and ethnic, religious and secular, fat and elegant, pregnant and meditative, as seen by both male and female artists from 10 countries: UK, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, France, Italy, India, Sweden and South Africa.
Artists in the show included painters Shiri Achu, Daniel Jordanov Alberchy, Zina Bercovici, Saya Becuwe, Christian Nguyen, Mirella Masiero, Abhijit Bhattacharya, Irina Kvetka, Valentini Ferdinando, Giacomo Sonaglia, Rosa Iorio, Cascetti Matteo, Elena Churnosova, Josephine Bergman, sculptor Helena Vogelzang and a guest photographer Eugenie Absalom.
