Lights in the Winter
International Contemporary Art Exhibition
8 – 14 December 2013
Celebration of light is an ancient tradition representing people’s desire to spread light and warmth during the dark winter months. In ancient times it was believed by many cultures that the winter solstice was a time for celebration of lights and we continue this tradition across the world today. The theme for this winter’s exhibition at La Galleria Pall Mall in London is the celebration of Lights. The opening date of the exhibition was close to this year’s Winter Solstice.
The Opening Night took place in the evening of the 9th December. It was a vibrant event with live music by Frazer Kennedy and Rick Joseph. View photos of the Opening Night here.
La Galleria Pall Mall is located inside the famous John Nash Royal Opera Arcade in St James’s. The arcade is specialized in high quality boutiques holding very special items. The Gallery is only minutes away from the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. It is equipped with the most modern hanging and lightning devices (www.lagalleria.org).
